I've been practicing engineering in the Transportation Sector for almost 25 years. For the past 10 years, I've worked at Toole Design in Silver Spring, MD where I lead our Multimodal Design Practice. This work has allowed me to work in communities across the US and Canada to design (and help others to design) streets that are more walkable, bikeable, and transit accessible for people of all ages and abilities. Outside of the office, I serve as the Treasurer of the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP). As a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), I've chaired the Committee on Sustainability - Policy Committee, was the webmaster for the ASCE Philadelphia Section, the Philadelphia Younger Member Forum (YMF) president, and chaired the Committee on Younger Members (CYM). I've also volunteered as head judge of the Mid-Atlantic Concrete Canoe Competition for the last 10-years.
